Driving in Kathmandu is its own sport. Narrow lanes, sudden potholes, the occasional cow, traffic that moves like a slow-motion video. Outside the valley, the highways are long and the landmarks are subtle. Some trips are just better when someone else drives.
That's where our chauffeur service comes in. You book a car, we send a professional driver who knows the roads, the shortcuts, the rules, and the quiet way to handle a tight squeeze on the way to Bhaktapur. You get to look out the window, take a call, send WhatsApps, or just exhale.
Driver fee: Rs. 1,500/day, plus the cost of the car itself (varies by vehicle, from Rs. 3,999 for hatchbacks up to ~Rs. 13,000 for premium SUVs).
Who Are Our Drivers?
Every GMS driver has been driving professionally for 5+ years and has been hired specifically for their skill on Nepal's roads, not just a license and a heartbeat. We don't outsource driving to random freelancers. The person picking you up tomorrow has driven this exact route hundreds of times.

- Conversational English, comfortable in both English and Nepali

What's Included
When you book a car with driver from GMS, the driver fee covers the driver's time. The car cost covers the vehicle. Beyond that:
- 2 complimentary mineral water bottles every trip
- 24/7 customer support: if anything comes up mid-trip, your driver and our office are both reachable
- GPS tracking on the vehicle for safety
- Clean interior (vehicles are cleaned between every booking)
Not included: fuel (paid by customer based on actual usage), driver food and lodging on multi-day trips outside the valley (typical Rs. 800–1,200/day), tolls.
We're upfront about this because surprise charges destroy trust. Ask us for a clear estimate at booking. We'll lay out exactly what each trip costs.
