There's a specific kind of tired that hits after an international flight. You step out of TIA arrivals into the warm Kathmandu air, your bags awkwardly stacked, and the last thing you want is a noisy haggle with taxi drivers or the hassle of finding the meter cab queue.
Or worse, you've booked a ‘ride’ that doesn't show up.
GMS Airport Pickup eliminates both. Your driver will be waiting in the arrivals area with a placard bearing your name. You'll have the driver's phone number sent to you before your flight. Your car will be clean, the AC will be running, and you'll be on your way home or to your hotel within minutes.
Service starts at Rs. 5,000 depending on vehicle type and destination.
How the Pickup Actually Works
Here's the exact flow when you book with us:
- You share flight details with us at booking: flight number, arrival time, terminal (international or domestic)
- We track your flight free of charge. If your flight is delayed by 2 hours or 4 hours, your driver waits. You don't pay extra for our wait time (we charge for our service, not for your airline's punctuality)
- Before your flight, we send you the driver's name and direct phone number, so you can call the moment you land
- The driver waits at the international arrivals exit with a clearly visible placard showing your name
- Once you connect, the driver helps with bags and gets you to the car parked in the official airport lot
- You're driven directly to your destination: Thamel, Boudha, Lazimpat, Patan, Bhaktapur, anywhere in or near the valley
The whole thing should feel boring, that's the point.
What Vehicles We Use
We match the vehicle to who's arriving:
- Solo travelers or couples: Toyota Corolla / Hyundai Verna sedan, or a BYD/Neta EV if you'd prefer
- Small families (3 to 5 people with luggage): Hyundai Creta, Mahindra Scorpio, or BYD Atto 3
- Larger groups (6+ with bags): Toyota Avanza, Suzuki Ertiga (7-seaters)
- Big groups or family reunions: Hiace or microbus options on request
If you have specific preferences say, “I want an EV” or “I need an SUV for luggage space” just mention it at booking. We'll arrange.
Drop-Off Service
The same flow works in reverse for departures. We pick you up from your home or hotel at the time you specify, drive to TIA, drop you at the right terminal entrance, and help you unload. Done.
Tip: book your drop-off with extra buffer time. Kathmandu traffic before international departures can be unpredictable.
Pricing Notes
The Rs. 5,000 starting rate covers a standard sedan from TIA to most central Kathmandu locations (Thamel, Lazimpat, Pulchowk, Sanepa, Boudha, Patan).
What changes the price:
- Vehicle upgrade (SUV, premium EV, 7-seater)
- Distance (Bhaktapur, Dhulikhel, or further is more)
- Time of day (no surcharges for late-night or early-morning, unlike some services)
- Round-trip booking (we offer better rates if you book pickup AND drop together)
